And he did:

No power, fences down, 6 big trees, 25% of the shingles (with leaks), outside door trashed.......lots of miscl.....but, by His Grace: nobody killed locally (that we know of)

I-10 Pensacola bridge has a 1/4 mile section down......barrier island is under water, US 98 that was less than 15' elevation is gone, in long sections from Gulf Breeze to Destin.

A mess, and it's still blowing...

That US-98 section got washed out back when Opal hit and I was stationed at Hurlburt.

Arggghhhhh....Cell phones be down......

Damage estimates now exceed Erin and Opal (1995) in Okaloosa. Santa Rosa County smacked hard and Pensacola seems to be just trashed from radio reports.

Mobile got hit hard I think, But no reported fatalities in alabama at all.

One reported fatality. A volunteer fireman.
