I have a WASR-10 that has fired 600 rds. The last two trips to the range the top hand guard turns sideways to the left while firing. Does anyone have any suggestions for a fix?

Take the wood off the gas tube and cut some thin strips from a coke can. Cut them as wide as the tang on each end of the wood that fits under the metal flanges of the gas tube. Lay one strip on each wood tang and twist the wood into place. It may take more than one strip on each end to make the wood a tight fit. If it takes more than two strips cut some strips from a steel can. On one Romanian 5.45 rifle the wood was so loose that I stripped the insulation off of some copper wire as two strips from a steel can were not thick enough.
