I swear anymore when I see 7.62x39 in a store I instinctively run over to it and guard it.
 Then eye anbody who comes near it.  Before scooping it up and running to the checkout.  These damn terrorists/insurgents are using all my ammo, if it doesnt stop Im gonna have to join up and go over to Iraq so I can procure more of it. |

Im confused, I see 7.62 all day long at Academy sports store here In Macon Barnual, I buy a few each time I go, and a friend at work recently gave me 640 rds of hp, said his neighbor had them and gave them to him for helping her move, and he didnt have a use for them, so they sit in my closet right now. But I do see 7.62 all over the place.........5.45 now thats another animal alltogether

You will see boxes of the stuff here and there for around 2.99-and up for a box. But usually its just a couple of boxes and over 100% price increase. The shortage we are all talking about is that up untill last summer, you could buy 500-1000 rounds at a time for 1.49 to 1.95 a box from Natchez, Midway, Ammoman, Aim Surplus..... with no problems, and no backorders. In fact, I have an order for 1000 rounds at $1.52 a box from Sportmans Guide that has been backordered for months. |

if it makes you feel any better i just got about 10,000rds of METAK 7.62 for free....i only kept about 3,000 of it and then gave the rest away to buddies....god i love iraq....i get free AK's alll the time...i was stoked on the RPK the other day...man, if i could only find a PKM...

I've ordered 2 cases of 7.62 from SG about 5 months ago for $75 a case before the coupon got it within a week.
then saw a month or two ago they had it that price again so I ordered 2 more and haven't got it back order keeps being pushed back I also ordered some 5.45 that on backorder but I found 2 cases local for $118 I'm hoping to pick up tomarrow. Stuffs getting hard to come by I'm just stocking up the SHTF supply |

Go to the equipment exchange for ak ammo, clips, etc. There are 300 boxes of 7.62 for 140 bucks a case. have a boner yet? i just bought 200 rounds of barnaul and wolf for 25 since im a broke ass. Get there soon though guys. oh yeah its 1k rds a case as u should know.
