Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Stock stuck in Vector Arms AK

I have a Vector Arms AK that I want to take the wood off of and replace with a laminate stock but I can't get the stock off. I put the stock in a vice and tapped the rifle with a rubber mallet and vicea versa with no results. It is stuck. Any advise? Also, is all the Vector Arms AK mis matched part sets? I can't find a numbered part match in the rifle.

You could try gently prying it from infront of the rear tang from up top.  Thats how I got my stock off my WASR.  Good Luck.
