Can anyone out there give me guidance on installing a side-folder?  I intend to install a side folding stock (triangular type w/ spring-loaded latch) on a SAR 1.  Also....what is the opinion on welding the trunnion onto the receiver instead of riveting?  Thanks for all responses......

dont weld it
do it right even if you dont have the tools you could rig somethang to use a vise to do the rear trunnion  
if you weld it it will lower the vlaue of your rifle instead of raise it
