Which side do the Romanian side folders fold to?

Can an under folder be unfolded with a 30rd mag in place?

And lastly which do you prefer and why?

Never shot a side folder, but the under folder I had wasn't very nice to shoot compared to a regular stock. G/F refused to shoot it even. Yes under folder will fold/unfold with a 30 in it.

They fold to the right. The reason the underfolding stocks have a U shaped butt plate is so it will clear a 30rd mag when you fold it.
I prefer the underfolding stock as you get a little more cheek contact than on the steel rod of the Romanian stock.
