www.cross-conn.com/Saiga_Conversion/ They are convertable to pistol grip configuration but compliance parts need to be installed. There is also a tutorial on this forum down under Russian AK types. I thought there was an 8 or 10 round mag available at high cost. Though that may be in 20 guage. There was a guy on gunco.net that was making a prototype mag for the Saiga shotgun, again I'm not sure of the guage. This site has info on the shotguns www.saiga-12.com/ |

8 round mags are $100+.
The guns are awesome. Someone is designing 10 round mags, but both parties have been 'close' for many months. As soon as cheap 10 round mags are made i think the S-12 will really take off, or the ATF will declare it a DD. I'm hoping the latter doesnt happen. |

What happened to the guy making the poly mags for the Saiga. Haven't seen anything about it in awhile, I thought that was on gunco also.

Mine ran 100% right away on the more gas-restricted setting (meant for magnum loads) with mere Wolf dove/quail loads. Nice gun! Not converted yet, but collecting stuff like these nice shirts www.cafepress.com/shootergallery

So no one has any turnkey bad ass models ready to purchase? I'll have to get someone to do a conversion or hope someone has a converted one for sale?

If you can build an AK you can do the conversion, and save yourself a boatload of money. The hardest part is locating the pistol grip hole. All you are doing is rivit removal, adding furnature, and dropping in fire control componets. It is a piece of pie. |

The Saiga 12 is one of the smoothest slug guns to ever hit the market IMHO.
My friend has one and it's suuuuuweet. Recoil is very light. Night and day from my Mossy 590A1. |
