I posted this over in the Troubleshooting forum as well, I don't know how much traffic  it gets so I put it inhere too, so Mods, if you feel the need to delete go ahead

I had some problems with one of my G builds, so yesterday I took it out and I brought the camera with for pics.

Here we go,

Insert magazine, and I get a failure to strip a round off, rack it again and it will chamber, but I have to manually slam the bolt carrier in place

after firing, I get a failure to eject,

Try it again and same result

So I swapped out the Bolt and Carrier form my other G that works great, and problem solved, the rifle runs 100%

So I try the in question Bolt and Carrier in the other G that has never had a problem and it works 100%

So this has me stumped

I kinda think it is in the serial number

What do you think?

Dang dude those are some dirty cases.  Your SN is cool though

Extractor up to spec? If it is it will be tossing them depending on how fast you rack the bolt carrier back.

This is a new gun, right? My MCA Romanian G gun had 5 or 6 FTEs the first time I was using it. It's because the parts were still getting used to each other (Weird, but yes). After 300 or so rounds it ran fine, no jams of any kind.

Are you using HP or ball ammo?

They were both  built  last winter

The Bolt works 100% in the other Rifle, That is the goofy part

I was using good ol' Chicom Ball Ammo

Extractor. It's the one thing I can think of that would do that..it's attached to the receiver...didn't you try another bolt carrier in the offending rifle?

Compare the two extractors on the two rifles.

I keep thinking if the extractor is bad, it wouldn't work in the other rifle, but it works just fine, that's the weired part

The extractor is that hook/blade shaped thing on the left side of the receiver...or maybe I'm thinking ejector. It's stamped into the receiver. It's not part of the bolt/carrier group.

Does the bolt/bolt carrier move freely back and forth and doesn't get pinched by the rails as it goes forward?

Try removing the FCG, install the bolt and bolt carrier, and see if they will move into battery under their own weight when tilting the gun downward. If it stops at some point before going into battery then check the rail dimensions where it stops, also look make sure it isn't binding on the ejector.

Couple of things....

The EXTRACTOR is part of your BOLT.  The EJECTOR is that "thing attached to the receiver".

Now - first?  If you are going to swap bolts - CHECK HEADSPACE.  What you did was potentially dangerous - but you have all of your fingers and both eyes - so it seems to have turned out OK.  If your "swap" is OK headspace wise (both rifles)?  I would say LEAVE it that way - it seems to work.  But DO check your headspace - please.

I bet your rails are a little too tight and tolerance stack up is working against you when you use the original bolt carrier.
Take the dremel and remove a few thousandths from the inside of the rails.

If after swapping, both rifles headspace ok and work 100%, I'd leave it at that and call it a day. Thats just me cuz I'm a lazy sob that way...

Before I call them 100% though,  I'd have fired at least 500 rounds through each... maybe a little more depending on how much ammo I could swing.

Well I finally got around to tinkering with this rifle.
I tore it all apart, and I found a burr on the outter edge of the gas piston.
When the rifle was closing the gas piston was getting hung up on the gas block.
A few passes with a file and some 1500 grit and she works like a champ
