I want to switch AMD65 and AKM handguard retainers. I know I need a press. Actually, I THINK I have a handle on it (front sight is off), but anyone who's been there is welcome to chime in with pointers.

Edit: I used my xcebec barrel press kit and an AMD muzzle brake to get the front sight off. Now, I'm having difficulty visualizing how to set up to press of the gas block. Little help? Thanks

your making somethan simple alot harder then you need to

put the fsb back on

just use a dremel and cutoff wheel
to cutoff the part that gos in at the top of the retainer
standard hg will then fit and it takes about 5 min total
