What the hell.  I paid $25 each for these clear polymer mags from progmag industries.  I think the spring they put in them is weak or something.  I experience FTF intermittently on the last round with both of the two mags.

Are these junk?  Shall I chuck them in the trash?

Do they look like this?

'Cause I got four of these w/ the two Yugo's I just bought and they fail to feed about every third or fourth round also.

I never tried their AK mags.
After buying a couple of their Glock mags(neither of which was ever even able to chamber a round) and one of their Remington 742 mags ( jams at least once every time) I gave up on Pro-mag.

Wow.  Lotta nerve charging $25 a piece for what amounts to a pile of plastic junk.  Maybe I will bug them for a refund.

I got two that has never had a hicup. How ever I bought three more after that and although I have not tried them out yet I am not to optimistic. The first 2 that I bought look to me like there metal lined inside they are very hard sounding when you knocl on them (dont laugh they really do) and the tab on the backside of the mag is definately metal. On the last three that I bought there is not a stick of metal in them at all. On the first 2 the floor plates are also metal. On the last three, all plastic. Ill try the newest all plastic mags when I can find some damn ammo. But Like I said it dont look to promiseing for them. But the first 2 never a problem one out of all of them.

It is not alot of nerve on PROMAG's part selling them for $25. They sell them at $25 which is "suggested retail" to not unfairly compete with other stocking dealers who buy the mags wholesale from PROMAG for way cheaper.

Funny you should post that link.  Just ordered one of those today.  That and a 5 round double stack chinese.  My rifle came with one of those bulgarian polys and it's been pretty nice.

Last week I also got 4 steel eastern european mags from centerfire as well.
http://www.centerfiresystems.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=374

Only complaint about those 4 mags from centerfire is that they seem to have a bit of play when loaded into the rifle.  They still snap in place just fine, and seem to work OK, but it isn't a real snug fit like with those poly bulgarians.

-Funny those look exactly like the first 2 that I got (the ones that I know run for sure) those might be what I actually got and not promags.

Unless they have a circle ((10)) molded on the side bottom, then they are not them.

They do have a circle 10 on the bottom. Great I got three brand new crap mags now. I wonder if promag would issue a refund if I returned them?

Let me reclarify, if they are circle ((10)), then they are Bulgarian and not PROMAGS.

I may have figured out the problem with mine:

Promag left, Chinese right. Chinese runs like a champ. See the difference? I'm thinking a fifteen second dremel-fu attack and this baby will run just fine.

Oh, and the lips are just slightly narrower on the promag, five more seconds with the dremel.

Or not.

When my Bulgarian waffles came in I compared them w/ the promags and they are identical, visually at least.

Don't think I'll bother with the dremel after all.

How long is the follower spring?  I've found the springs in some promags to be about 1/2 the length of the euro spring.  These things really are crap.  You think it would be hard to mess up the most reliable gun on the planet; but promag did it.

ProMag sucks.  I had purchased some when I lived in Kalifornia because there wasn't much choice.  I have had Pro Mags for various guns and they all had problems.  Unreliable.  You can use them for drills when you don't want to drop good mags on the ground...!

Hootbro...from what I am reading KevenR has 5 mags.  2 of them have the ((10)) and the three new ones are Pro-mags.
