I'm thinking about selling my AK build but unsure what I should ask for it. It's a Russian kit built on a OOW put together by Jnewt. I put a crappy finish job on the metal, but the wood remains in the condition I bought it. I've gotten plenty of compliments on it in its current condition, but would it be worth refinishing the wood and making it look pretty? I don't have any of the necessary materials and would need to have it be worth it.

Heres the only pic I have of it; in the top right.

Look for something similar to it on the Equipment Exchange. See what they ask for it and how long it takes to sell. That will give you a good idea what it is worth.

That's the problem. The prices are all over the place depending on what kind it is. I've never seen a Russian kit for sale on the EE. While I doubt it's gonna raise its value a whole lot, there is just nothing to base it off of. I can get a used Chinese rifle for like $600. A brand new Romy will cost like $350. That's why I'm wondering if I clean it up if people will pay more for it. Some may like the fact that's its probably been used in battle and would like to see it in its current condition.

Am I just putting too much thought into this?

List it for a price you are happy with. You can always drop it if it does not sell. Thats what I do...............
