I have one. Under the rear lense, there is a knob with numbering (i.e. 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10....).

I zeroed my slr105a1r at 25yds, at the 2.5 number.

Are those numbers for 2.5=25yds/m, 5=50yds/m, 7.5=75yds/m?

So far, no one can provide a definative answer.

The commerical PK-AS has 2moa adjustments on the elevation wheel, evenly spaced & numbered. On the military PK-AS (PKS-01) it has a BDC wheel w/numbers separated by varying amounts depending upon the caliber the BDC is calibrated for. HTH...

Tomac,
Thanks. I have the military version. It stops at 20=200yd/m and the increments are oddly spaced.

You're welcome. Now the only question is do you have the 5.45 BDC or 9.3 BDC. From what you mention I believe it's the 9.3.

Tomac,
There are Russian markings on the side mount, but the sight's body is clear of markings, with the exception of the cam/range markings.

My PK AS has the red dot switch on the left. It's more of a silver lever. There are no adjustments for red dot brightness as with the newer model.

9.3? Explain please.

IIRC the PK-AS was designed to be used on both the 5.45 AK's & the Bizon subgun world.guns.ru/smg/smg08-e.htm w/BDC's available for both the 5.45 caliber & the 9x18 Makarov (appx 9.2/9.3mm) cartridges. Sorry I wasn't more clear.

The only difference between the military and original civilian model was exchanging the military BDC elevation wheel for the current 2moa elevation wheel. Later civilian models replace the single on/off toggle switch w/a variable brightness control. HTH...

I haven't heard of one being made in 7.62x39. They are made in 5.45x39 and I've been trying to get one for some time w/o success (sigh...)
