No- I Just took some steel wool to cut down on that god-aweful finish- I just acqiured a blonde AK74 Russian laminate set and put that on it- it looks way freaking better now. The old SAR2 set is sitting in a tupperware box right now till I figure out when to sell it..

I'd love to have a funiture set like that, but it throws me out of 922r compliant because of the added 74 style brake. hinking.gif

How much was you AK-USA brake?

Hoe does it feel to shoot with that foregrip? I tried it once but it felt awkward... just no good place to put your hand... seemed it was designed for cold weather..

Looks good!  I had to replace my Romy brake with an AK-USA unit recently for 922R purposes.  I think the Romy brake looks a little more authentic, but we have to keep things legal, right?

The picture of the soldier whats the deal with the upturned bolt handel ak 47?
or ak 74?
Sorry for the question but just have to know

The upturned handle is only on the rommy AK74 to accomodate the folding stock.

Mykro- your folder is being mailed Tuesday morning BTW-

Do you also have an upturned bolt carrier for your work in progress???

[#17]
Sure don't... Seen them for sale anywhere? Maybe it's possible to heat the carrier in a vice with a torch and bend the handle up?

I actually like the color of your old Romanian wood... mine looks like complete hell compared to yours.  Wonder if I could refinish it to get that slightly blonde look.

Jorg- you ball buster- Did you know that I cant find one anywhere???. I had to settle on a laminated ROmy upper. But my search continues.

Mykro- you MUST get the turned up handle as it is the only way to go on the AIMS74 folder..........
