Straight from Joe at Joeken

"One thing that not everyone is aware of is that UZI pistols, AK pistols, and other assault style foreign made pistols were ban from importation. Any firearms that are made up with foreign made parts in pistol configuration would be illegal for sale or manufacture in the US. By using US made parts, you are able to avoid problems with this. We are the only company that is offering AK pistols and AR pistols to the general public.
The AK pistol is now on our website and will start shipping next week on a first come first served basis.

Joe"

Nope
Pistols can be build with import parts (its the receiver that must be MFG in the USA)
Pistols are not restricted by the 922(r) compliance rules only rifles.

No, they still sold imported "assault pistols" after the '89 import ban, and before the '94 ban.

The company aside, what do you guys think about the pistol itself?

They say it is on one of THEIR new receivers, has anyone heard anything about them?

The gas tube looks like one from the AMD-65, which owners of short-tubed SA-85M's have a covered tube for...no need for the extra $50 charge :)

Need imput...
