I think it is us under federal law. You should check your state laws before making the change.

If the rifle complies with 922r it is legal to put any stock you wish on your rifle. If you do not have the correct amount of compliance parts you will be commiting a felony.

its a Post ban Sar 1 with no bayonet lug or Flash Suppress.

I have searched the web for 922r and didn't find anything that makes sense!!

Your fine since SAR's came with compliant parts. Even the post ban ones had to be compliant.

As long you have enough US parts its ok. SAR-1s are already 922r compliant.
