I've heard rumors of someone doing a lot of leg work on this, but remember the conversion will also have to be done to make the rifle fire from a closed bolt, so it's a lot more to it than just a receiver.
Still, if they can do it with a MG-34, MG-42, and RPD, they can do it with the PKM.

I'm thinking they can do it as well. Hoping it will come under 2K for the final gun. I see Romanian PKM kits for 1200 to 1400 max, some with and with out accessories like tripod, links, ammo, etc.
I've been eyeing one for a long time. |

I seriously, seriously doubt it will happen for under $2K. RPD's are $2K. I've got a feeling these will be closer to $3K. The receiver is going to be a lot more complicated I think, although they won't have to re-invent the locking mechanism like they did with the RPD. |

Damn I Hope prices don't go that high.
Looks like I'm gonna have to start building my self. Just bought a 50 dollar OOW 7.62 reciever today. I'm hoping to get a cheap Romy kit and build one up! **Keep your fingers Crossed**

Try 3.5k-4.5k range for the semi PKM. And they are in the works.
