Picked up my new krink yesterday. It is a ORF built post ban AKS74U. Yes the stock is fixed open.

I was checking out a non-AK site. A guy posted that he wanted to trade a krink for some cash and a kit. Sent him some pics of my Bulgy AKS and PMKMS. At first it was a kit and cash but then he decided that he needed both! I traded both kits and $100 for it. Not bad.

Monday it goes off to Jnewt, he will swap the krink parts on to a post ban SLR no rail and add a Tula built side folder.

I don't know if I would call it a fake can... more of a semi fake can. It is a hollow aluminum tube.

I thought that I would have to add to or change it to pass MI silly OAL law. I measured it and I think it will pass as is. When I get it I'll have to double check.

I'm computer retarded so posting pics will take time. Definately have to get Jnewt to post pics when it's done. He said with in a week or 2 of when he gets it, it will be done. I oughta overnight it to him today!

Dumb question - why don't you just un-pin the fixed folding stock, instead of replacing it?

Not a dumb question at all. When ORF build these they did not put an guts in the folder. Basically it is just the trunnion and triangle stock welded open. He is going to put the new side folder and all the krink parts on a SLR 105 reciever.
