Hey all!

Looking to add another AK to my collection and found this:

A rare beauty in original box with manual and warranty (not filled out!) from circa 1960's. Pristine condition for its age -- probably less than 300 rounds ever fired through it and I think they were mine! The proverbial "found under grandpa's bed" type find. It looked unused (New IN Box)when I bought it. Originally imported by Kassnar Imports, Harrisburg, PA. This HUNGARIAN AKM is one of the finest Ak's ever made. Metal folding stock model, teac wood, bayonet and sheath, leather sling, 30 round magazine, cleaning kit, -- all original accessories. I can email more pictures and serial numbers and answer questions etc. Serious inquiries only please.

Is anyone familiar with this gun?  Would love some feedback....asking price is 1350.00.

The cover and receiver are both stamped with the number SL 077XX the other markings are: "SA 85M Cal. 7.62x39 Semi Automatic Made In Hungary"

Thanks All....

I saw two last weekend for 2k each unfired NIB at the gunshow, for what it's worth, but I'm no expert.

They were imported during the 1980s.

The finest preban AK there is.

$1350 for a folder is a great price, normally see them for sale for about $1500+

I bought mine for $900, but that was 1998.

Kassnar imported 3000 fixed stock SA-85M's and 4000 folding stock SA-85M's in 1986.

$1350.00 is an OK price.  You wouldn't be getting hurt, but I have seen a few lower than that.

Seems like a fair price for a "in the box"underfolder.IMHO Hunkies are/were the best.

In my parts anything under $1500 is a good deal.I paid$1300 for mine about 3 years ago and felt it was a fair deal. I love my hungarian and would probably have paid more if I had to to get one.

Quoted:
that's about the going rate for a clean, used u-folder in my hood.

it isn't teak wood...it's elm. and no kalashnikovs were imported in the '60's! lol! well...maybe some 'nam sneakbacks!

Then you should have bought mine when I posted it here earlier this year.  If you recalled I asked you about a fair price at that time ;-)
