What would a fair price for an SKS be?  I had one once that I paid a little over $300 for.  I had to return it and get my money back because it slam-fired and would do double and triple taps.  Now I see SKS's for sale for $150.  Was I paying too much for my first SKS.

P.s. would any type of SKS be OK

Thanks

It would depend on the model and country of origin and condition.  A russian might well go over $300 the current crop of Yugos in the $99 to $160 range.  The Yugos are probably one of the most interesting and well made out there.  Also the most accurate as they have no chrome lining.

Thanks.  I might go looking for a "new" SKS soon.
