I just received my "converted" Saiga rifle completed by Paragon today. Not happy ......... Rifle does not look good. Rivet holes poorly welded, trigger guard looks as if it was chewed with a pair of pliars, bullet guide fabricated out of ????? , chamber feed guide buggered up, buttstock nicked ,mouting screws chewed up. Receiver re-finished to look parkarized....... does not match original finish. Waste of a nice Saiga rifle.......... I have a task to make this rifle look right.

They sent the rifle back to me looking like this, leads me to believe they dont know what they are doing....thanks for the advise. The only thing worse than someone screwing up your rifle is.... letting them do it again ETA: that is . by far, the worst work that I have ever seen a supposed "professional" do. I should start a 4th business.... |

Is this the company? wtf? Saiga Rifle Conversion Service - 7.62 5.45 223 308 : Gunsmithing at GunBroker.com |
|
Recent feedback left for them on Gunbroker (From the OP): Overall poor workmanship on rifle conversion, Saiga looks bad. Avoid this service. Response: (left on 11/12/2011) Buyer expected a level of fit and finish unreasonable for the price of our service. Will resolve issues with buyer despite abject negativity and unfamiliarity with the workings of customer service. Funny how they say the buyer expected too much. How is that for backing up your work? |

He gave them a D when they clearly deserved an F. |

The OP posted on this website and provided negative feedback on Gunbroker PRIOR to even contacting us about problems with the rifle. We cannot guaranty perfect customer service to follow our lapse in QC if not given the chance to work with the customer. Nonetheless, we are working with Warhead to resolve his problems with the rifle.
Response to feedback was not to say that "You don't pay us enough, so we produce crap", it was in response to the OP's initial concerns with cosmetic condition of the rifle. Had we not been so quick to leave feedback, the record would better reflect our dialog. As stated, we are resolving these cosmetic issues, as well any functional problems, and will be sure to keep everyone posted. Any persons concerned with the quality of our work are encouraged to keep an eye on this. For more complete coverage: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_4_80/139529_.html |
| The shitty work I saw in those pics should never leave anybody's shop. I just screwed up the muzzle brake on my own MAS 49/56 because I got in a hurry and used Vise-Grips on it, but at least I took a small, flat jeweler's file and removed the marks, then refinished the whole exposed part of the barrel, which was mostly bare anyway. What I saw above that came out of a commercial shop was disgraceful. No excuses, just fix it right for him. Everyone who calls themselves 'professional' should be doing first-rate work. That's exactly how companies get great reputations and build huge customer bases - not by giving away the store, but admitting it when that one job goes bad and just biting the bullet and making it right. If your employee screws up a man's gun, it's on you. |
