This might be a stupid question. It might not. I've spent a few hours searching with no good info, so: Can you replace a 90 degree gas block with one designed for a 45 degree port, and not have Bad Things happen? I recently purchased a Bulgarian 74, and the front sight is canted just a tad. I'm not confident in my ability to keep it straight while operating a drill press, so I wasn't excited about trying to make it straight. Yesterday, I came across a front sight/gas block combo on Kreb's page. http://www.krebscustom.com/RawPhotos/10-20-06/frontsightgasblock.jpg The note mentioned that it is only for 45 degree ports. http://www.krebscustom.com/PartsPages/KalashnikovParts.shtml#KTRFSGB It would really make my day to be able to make this work. |
