Has anyone here checked these out? Is there a source for american made recievers and parts for compliance or is this kit really ment to be built on?

This is not a project gun for the beginner or even the semi-skilled.  This is a project which requires many hand made parts and the ability understand ATF guidelines for constructing a semi-auto rifle.  I have seen some semi's built using FAL lower receivers and such.  This was originally an open bolt machinegun.  The firing pin is a fixed knob on the bolt face.  Unless you are confident you can heat treat the bolt so it can be drilled and re-harden it, and are capable of building a firing pin (heat treating that as well) and are prepared to build a receiver from scratch of an acceptable design that you are sure will fly with the ATF, forget this rifle.  There are no compliance parts avalble.

I would like to see what OOW guys could do with one.

OOW prices are very high(too high for the AK's they are selling) IMHO, but I would pay a decent price for a working one of these.

If I bought a kit to look at it and see what I think, would there be any market for it if I wouldn't want it?
