For my first I am doing a Bulgarian parts kit and a virgin barrel. At the moment, my question is about removing front sight block, gas port thingy majig that are pinned to the barrel. I can't tell if I can just knock out or if both ends have been flattened to prevent that.

Support on firm surface and bash with hammer. I prefer to start with a solid center punch, then step down the punch size from there. BTW, you will build quite a punch collection building AKs. I buy cheap ($2) Harbor Freight drill bit sets when they're on sale. These can then be cut to make good punches of various lengths. |
