Beautiful finish and I do like your buttstock extender.

Is that a recoil pad or an extender?

It came on the stock set, which I bought in the EE. Besides, my wife shoots it now and then so I have to look out for her also.

Looks great, I know it has to it feel alot better!

Those MAK thumbholes have got to be one of the most uncomfortable designs ever!

Thumbholes for competition fit like a glove, but political ones feel like your holding a doorframe that shoots.

Mbsk01 nice pics but why did you put the black pistol grip on? It`ll look better with a wooden grip IMHO.

Likely excuse.............

Seriously though, it does look much better.  Nice job on the wood.

Like I said, RotDorn did the wood for me and he deserves ALL the credit.

Since you've already gone this far, maybe making it able to take a cleaning rod under the barrel, along with a slant brake, would be a good idea to finish it off.

Good idea, but I'll probably just go ahead a pick up a nice '47 kit with that other stuff already on it.

That would save me some $$ and give me a good excuse to have another AK.

My slant break is somewhere down range at last years bulletfest.  You can have it if you find it.

I never could keep one on the rifle. Lock tight be damned

Aren't the slant breaks threaded to fit onto a threaded FSB?

If so, how would you lose it?

Mine was never threaded.  The rifle in the picture looks just like mine did.

The breaks I used had set screws.  I finally added the AK-74  style break that pins on through the FSB.

Looks good! Now get a cleaning rod under there.

Here's mine.
