because:
1. there is no more east germany. 2. what USED to be east germany no longer needs or uses them. 3. bakelite magazines were superceded by more advanced thermoset polymers. 4. most folks consider the appearance to be fugly. 5. 5.45 is not nearly as popular as 7.62 x 39...this is due to most people being too afraid to invest in a better mousetrap. 6. it's all good! that means more for me! |

because when the wall came down they had a huge
supply of metal 30 rd AK mags that they didnt need anymore, so they were sold to US importers cheap, and there isnt a high demand for AK mags so they are still cheap and plentiful. The quality is excellent on German AK mags. Large supply low demand = cheap prices |

the steel 7.62 mags?
again, there are gazillions of them and they com from a country that no longer exists and a were for a rifle no longer in sevice. |
