Buddy built a KP at my house recently using one.  Trunnions aren't quite 100% to spec––rear dimensions are off just a tad, i.e. the main latch's hole has to be reamed with a drill press after riveting in order to get the latch through.  Hinge pin is an absolute BITCH to get in too.

If you're in a hurry, there sadly isn't much else out there to go with.  If you're patient, though, you can still find the real ones (not poorly-made copies from an undisclosed asian location) at a good price.  I picked up a true Russian (rolled edges, ribbed butt) for my KP for 100 bucks, all hardware included (front latch too).

Hey I'm the first to admit I got lucky.  Well, okay, it wasn't really so much luck as just a genuinely nice guy hookin up a fellow shooter.  Not that I'm ashamed, of course.
