So we've all seen the cool guitar-case carrying cases used in the movies for the movie character's rifles/carbines. I've also heard of, and seen a couple different ones like padded tennis racket cases and violin cases used as well.

What are some other cool ones you guys have and use for yours, or ones you've heard of?

Having a cool little AK pistol is great with all the cool stuff you can do with it! I'm finding it to be much more fun than expected.

Come on, nobody has something cool foro carrying/transporting their AK pistol or SBR in around here? Tough to believe.

Well since I just got my Draco a few days ago I haven't got around to picking up anything to haul it around in just yet, but I will for sure. A small Pelican case is one option I'm thinking about, with the foam inside cut to match the profile of the gun and a couple spare mags. All James Bond style and shit !

I bought 5 M60 barrels bags which were brand new issue USN, they run about $20-25 bucks, I use them on my underfolder ak's, amd and
my GSG 5 , it fits nice even with the fake suppersor. My Drako has plenty of room in these.

I have a violin case that I used to use for underfolder when I lived in an apt.  Never got the eggcrate foam to make it nice and pretty.

Tennis raquet cases seem best for folding aks if you want opsec.

Though I missed the boat and have not yet bought a DRACO, someone on here said a mini would fit in the 5.11 Select Carry sling pack.  I am considering the M92 now and hoping that with a side folder, it would still fit in there.

In the process of creating a violin case gutted mine and filled with expanding foam.  Just have to start trimming then cut out the forms and cover.  Picked up the case for $20 on craigslist.

I just picked this up and I'm really digging it.

Currently in this pic there is my draco SBR with 30rd mag inserted, 4 spare 30 rounders and a romanian top loader 75 round drum. Very discreet and compact. It has 1.25 inch foam all around the inside to provide a full profile even when there isn't much in it. Kinda spendy, but super sneaky. I like it a lot. They make it in coyote tan as well, but I like the grey man look.

What brand/model is that case?

It kind of looks like my Uncle Mike's bag for my S&P.

I scour the flea markets for empty DeWalt tool cases.  Most of the DeWalt cases have real steel-pin hinges and steel latches as well.  They also come in a variety of sizes that will accommodate different firearms and have a place for a small padlock.  I generally stay away from the "blow-molded" cases as they are too flimsy once they're hollowed out.  That said, Milwaukee makes about the best blow-molded case.

The only hassle is that you need to use a grinder to remove all of the internal (molded in) ribs that were for holding the original tool.  Once the inside is cleaned out, it's a simple matter of cutting foam to fit the gun and glue it into the case.  I use the aerosol contact cement for that.

I think you get good protection with tool cases. The only problem is you still have to worry about someone stealing it, only they get a gun instead of a cordless tool. Which isn't really a bad thing if your a thief.  I always look for opsec first and weapon protection a close second.

I'm still waiting on my stamp to come back for my AMD65 SBR, so no pic of that in my covert case yet. But this is what I bring along when my wife and I go away. This pic was taken on our anniversary trip to a nice bed and breakfast. It's a Nike duffel bag (very covert since Nike is a POS anti-gun company) with a base made from foam cut to shape and hot glued to 1/4" plywood. Pack some clothes on top of it and nobody knows. I'll make a new base when my AK stamp comes back.

Thanks. I have four more and just closed a deal on another. I use them for everything from home defense, trap, skeet, sporting clays, pheasant hunting, or as the pic shows, protection while on a romantic getaway with the wife. She got me one of them for our first anniversary and another for Father's Day that same year.

I'd take the AMD when it's done, but I don't feel like filling out paperwork every time I leave the state with it. The shotgun will probably still be used unless my Polytech underfolder will fit in there. I'll have to try that.

I like the idea of carrying a bag around that will be:

1. Unable to be identified as a gun bag.

2. Very easily accessible. As in, put in hand, pull out gun.

3. Fits the gun with a magazine.

4. Keeps gun stationary so that you know where to put your hand in and grab.

Any ideas?

This is my carrying case for my SLR-106u pistol. It is a Redhead case I got from Bass Pro Shops. It fits like a glove with a 20 round mag locked in and has an outer pocket that will hold extra mags or ammo and cleaning rod/cleaning kit. I currently have 6 of the 20 round mags in the outer pocket and one locked in the "pistol" total capacity 140 rounds and one compact package.
