I am having troubles with my Saiga .223.
It is apparently Denting the edge of my Brass.
It does it in the exact same place on every round
Does anyone else have this problem??
Any Ideas on Fixing or Figuring out what happens inside there.
This annoying problem makes all the rounds shot in-elible for reload.
I get the best acuracy out of reloaded rounds of course.
I have just bought a few new bags of brass,
but that will get expensive you know.
I think dented brass is common on AKs. Some people put stuff on the dust cover to try to keep it from denting.
Yes, all aks I have seen are rough on brass. Steel cased ammo is what I stock for most of my 223 ak shooting. I handload too, but I don't shoot anything out of my 223 ak that I expect to be able to reload. I have seen some people put adhesive rubber-type pads where the case hits in an effort to help. I don't know if it does.
FWIW my 223 ak is very accurate even with the various Russian steel-cased loads.
I save my brass 223 for the Stoner design.
