Ok guys my AMD-65 has a little wire piece in the reciever as a sling mount.  Is it strong enough to use?  If not how are you mounting your slings?

AMD-65's oftern do not come with a rear sling loop, so many guys drill and tap a sling loop stud on the left-rear of the receiver. Use a some blue (breakable) or red (breakable with heat) Loctite to hold the stud in place. Then just slap on your sling loop. Done...!!!

His AMD-65 in fact HAS a rear sling swivel. However the sling loop appears to be thin - almost wirelike and is of questionable integrity. He is asking if the wimpy rear sling swivel is adequate for use.

That's the way I read it.

If it's an original style sling loop that is held in by a bent flat piece of metal, yes it's strong enough.
