Any .30 cal bore guide should work. Brownells, Champions Choice or Midway is where I would look.
Kleen-Bore made the ones I use. |

Your rifle came with a bore guide from the factory. That is what the cap of the cleaning kit is for.

Then download the Clayco Sports AKS manual as it has text and pics on the multiple uses of the cleaning kit. |

Thats pretty sweet. I know the Romanians didnt show that trick in the manual when i bought my WASR. In fact, Im going to try that out right now....

The cap on my cleaning kit for my Romanian doesn't have a hole in it... I can't use it as a bore guide.

A drill press can fix that easily. I perfer a commercial guide though. Mine is a tapered piece of brass that slips over my cleaning rod and works in both .22 and .30 calibers equally well. |
