Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Any difference in AK74 and AK47 trigger guard assembly?

I am building up an AK74 pistol from a Bulgarian kit. I have already modified the barrel, upper gas tube and handguards. The trigger guard I have is a Bulgarian (new from K-Var) unissued unit and does NOT have the hole drilled or the pin.

Can I just use a Romanian assembly? Remember, I am using AK74 mags.

they are just shapped diffrent,....most people wouldent even notice,....as long as the mag well is cut for the 5.45 mags you can use whatever trigger guard you like.

me personally,.. i like the yugo's because of the way the guard and pistol grip nut have to be rivited on.
