Anyone know what it takes to convert a Chinese rifle(fixed stock), to accept the AK-100 polymer folder??

I know about it needing hole for the latching/folding mechanism, but am concerned about the rivet locations?

Thanks Guys...

I've just done several of these. You'll have to weld at least 1 hole on each side. I welded both on each side so as to not have the .200 dia. hole at the rear to deal with. You will also have to mill your folder trunion to match the inside dimension of the rec. Fit carefully, as the angle cut at the rear, and location of the catch at the front vary some from a Krink drawing. I found my Polymers to be about .050 longer than the Krinks. Neat stocks, Huh??

pretty much what shortfal told you.

instead of welding up the one pair of mismatched holes in the receiver, it may also be possible to drill the trunnion to accept rivets in the oem receiver location.

i have done this on euro akm's.

it's some work, but well worth it to get that nifty ak-100 buttstock! good luck!
