Last year a LEO in Ooltewah Tn,a suburb of Chattanooga, was gunned down at a road side produce stand. The trial is underway and the murder weapon was shown on the local news,it appeared to be a SAR2 with cammo painted stock set and a 74 muzzle brake installed.Officer Bond will be truly missed.

Condolences to the Bond family! Ofc. Bond go walk a beat on Heaven's streets for you've done your time in Hell! We'll miss you Brother! The sad thing about this incident is that the anti-2A crowd will use this as a reason to ban these evil AW! Makes me laugh...I know plenty of officers that carry these dreaded weapons in the trunk of their cruiser in case TSHTF! It's not the weapon that killed that officer...it was the dirtbag pulling the trigger!! When will "they" realize that you can't hold an inanimate object responsible for some @ssholes actions!

The murder weapon could have been a 10/22, and the rifle shown is their "file photo."

That said, it is tragic.

Thats the REALLY strange part of the news coverage,no one made a big deal about the type of weapon used except for the testimony from the Guy that sold it to the Suspect. This incident happened about a year ago and this is the only time the weapon has been on the news.

No,the pic was a very brief segment of live court coverage on one of the local news stations.
