I have an AMD 65 Tanker kit and want to know who sells a pistol trunion for the rear. What size do I need and where can I find the spiral rivets? M4QUADRAIL

From your post I think you are wanting to build a pistol from an AMD short barrel kit, is this right?
Here is a place you can get a rear pistol trunnion. http://www.copesdistributing.net/product_info.php?cPath=32_34&products_id=813 If that is not what you are wanting a lot of builders use the Romy underfolder trunnion like this one. https://www.apexgunparts.com/product_info.php/cPath/21_89/products_id/1421 As for the spiral rivets that you are talking about, I think they are called U-drive rivets/screws. I wouldn't try to tell you how to build, but I would not use these in any AK build. I would trust screws before the U-drive rivets/screws. If the screw works loose there is a chance you will notice it before anything happens. I have seen the U-drives be tight one time and fall out the next, I don't trust them. Don't mess up your kit with screws/twist rivets. There are many people in Florida with the tools to do it right..What city are you in? We have been talking about a build party in Jax. in the Florida HTF. |
