I have few questions:
To add a traditional handguards you have remove the old hand guard, buy a new specially made lower hand guard retainer and use a normal AKM upper hand guard retainer?

Is the angled stock an issue with cheek weld to the stock? if so any possible way of putting normal stock(non folding) on?

I want a traditonal AK, I was looking at polish AK but prices have shot up. I have considered a WASR and saiga conversion( already done) however each come with pluses and minuses. If I can get his hungarian cheaper and make it a traditonal, I believe I can get a better ak for the money.

You will get a better AK. But to make it into a traditional would be less cost effective. I love mine for what it is. Added a cheek riser I made and welded on and it is perfect for me now

No. The lower handguard retainer can be used with any AKM piece. For the upper handguard, you will have to convert a standard gas tube to fit the shorter AMD65 gas system.

You can't use any other stock without re-manufacturing the rear of the receiver with a standard or folding stock trunion.

You will be better off getting a WASR but get some experienced help in finding a good one.

Okay, seems like some are thinking this is a popularity contest between the AMD65 and the WASR. Personally, I love my AMD65, but the OP states he wants to make it into a traditional AK which is why I brought up the WASR. For about the same price, he gets what he wants up front and doesn't have to spend time and money making it into something completely different. This is not about which one is 'better'.

You can't go wrong with an AMD-65.  They have original chrome lined barrels.  With the barrel extension using the original muzzle break, you will get quite the fire ball.

I've had one of these for about 4 years and it is a great weapon and quite accurate.

Added the cheek riser, which made it easier to fire.

Here's a few pics of my AMD-65.  I've since cut a slot toward the rear of the receiver and added the proper sling attachment.
