I was in a local gunshop over the weekend and I noticed that there was one AK47 clone on the rack so I asked to see it because I've never handled an AK47 up to that point..(I've handled a VEPR .308)

1st of all the rifle was $350

3 things I noticed.....
1) the guns metal exterior had a thin layer of grease covering it...I presume it preserves the finish from everyones oiley hands.....I could be wrong.

2)The furniture looked and felt like the guy behind the counter widdled it himself with a pocket knife. The buttstock was also a little wobbly. (I'm used to my ARs solid as a rock feel) Is this common?

3)Also it had some sloppy looking markings on it regarding it being imported by whoever.....but I couldn't tell if it was Chinese, Romanian or from wherever.....

what are your thoughts on this AK?
Is it worth it to get replacement furniture? Does plastic furniture melt?
