| Does the ak buffer really help? will it add life to your gun? |
|
I had one disintegrate while I was using it. Because it was an AK, I didn't know there was an issue until I got it home and took the dust cover off and saw blue poly shit all over the inside of the action. I was less than impressed. M. Kalashnikov was certainly familiar with buffers, the Soviet PPSh-41 uses a buffer, and I find it telling that Kalashnikov never thought there was a need for them in his rifles............ Do you think all those AK's used around the world have buffers in them? |

You do get the bolt banging against the rear trunnion occasionally. You dont get it always. There was a vid of an AK firing and only a moderate percentage of the time did the bolt actually touched the trunnion. As stated, millions of AKs function forever, without any buffer and minimal failures. |
