the way they build VEPRs you'd be hard pressed to beat it up. shoot and enjoy

+1, I shoot 154gr all the time. It's a Vepr.  The receiver is the same as the .308 receiver. If it can handle 180gr .308, it can handle 154gr 7.62x39.

I have run a thousand of them through my VEPR K with no ill effects and they brought Bambi to the barbaque quite effectively

BTW, the 154gr hits much harder than 122gr.

From what I understand, even though it's a slower round, the 154 gr. SP's are one of the few Russian rounds that actually expand the way they're supposed to.

I bought a case a while back and they work well in all my ak's. they do seem to hit pretty hard.

It is more a matter of the extra inertia over 125gr sp that helps them when they hit bones on the way in. |
