Were vented metal gas tube covers factory or aftermarket for the SKS?

Which countires used them if so? I have a few Russians and lots of Chinese SKS rifles and wouldn't mind having one even if aftermarket.
Where can they be purchased. at?

I am not aware of any ventilated handguard that is factory built on a SKS.

SKSman has them along with just about any of the other companies that sell SKS stocks and parts.
