Hey guys  I was wondering if someone could tell me the correct trigger finger position for precision rifle shooting ?

And very low on the trigger.  Trigger finger should be exactly parallel to the barrel.

As you pull the trigger, your fingernail should stay perpendicular to the barrel, to ensure you're pulling straight back.  Have someone watch you pull as you dry-fire, they can often see bumps and twitches.

The most important thing for you to focus on at this point of the discussion is the sight picture.  It doesn't really matter if you're using your middle finger, applying pressure on the center of the trigger, the bottom, etc.

The sight picture has to be a good one throughout the process of taking the shot, and that is where all your focus should be, since you can only focus on one thing at a time.
