I went to the Sniper / Observer Competition at Storm Mountain last weekend.  I had a great time, and somehow I managed a trip to the prize table.  Now I'm the proud owner of a copy of Lex Talus Corp's Field Firing Solutions program (Delta IV-LE).

The problem is I'm not entirely sure what I've got.  All of the instructors and top shooters were singing this thing's praises.  Best as I can tell, its pretty fantastic.  Until now, my long-range shots were guided by mil dots, theoretical ballistic data, and a couple crossed fingers.

So I need some help.  What is this program really like?  Is it 1/2 as good as I hear?  What kind of hardware do I need to run it?  Etc ...

Surely *someone* has used this program and has something to say about it.

I haven't used it.

Looks like a standard ballistics calc with some nice goodies like a size of objects database (in your version). Runs on >= WM 5.0 pdas.
