the last time my 9 yr old grandson was here he wanted to shoot but it was raining and he wanted to shoot his rifles  .. so this is my latest !! i built this to move around as needed  , it 6X8 built on a skid
that i move with the tractor or bobcat , has fold up windows . fold up shooting bench
and a bench to set other rifles on , has 12 volt power for lights and a solar panel on top
to keep a trickle in the battery . that boy going to be a shootin next time for sure .

Well done! Are you adding sound insulation to deaden the sound for him?

what ever he needs to be comfortable with , we do shoot
suppressed 1022 & the AR's , the muzzle sticks outside the wall  about
6-8  inches or so with loading the bipods against the wall .

I would nominate you for grandpa of the year. Just point me in the right direction. Now let him get some paint and stencil material and customize it.

Nice.

That would make a great blind if you two do any deer hunting.

Wow. My grandfather would have told me to harden the F up and sent me out into the rain.

I'm stealin' that idea. I would like something to keep the elements off me when I shoot. Doubly so now that I have a kiddo who's starting to get into the sport.

Glad this post will help others , especially with getting
the little ones in shooting more , The shed has been
insulated with 2.5 inch foam all around so overall it
turned out really nice  and the buddy heater keeps it
warm enough to shoot in .
