I've been searching for 2 years. I just called Hodgdon today and they claim it's being shipped all over. Where? has anyone found any? I'm really wary of these sites that all look similar, take 10 seconds to load and I've never heard of them. Help would be much appreciated.

Use the where to find thread.
This will get locked. I’ve seen it every other day lately. It sells out fast at all the normal places. It also costs more than other powders. |

It is being shipped out. I was in my local Running's store two weeks ago and there was four pounds of it, zero when I left there. I too haven't seen any on shelves for at least a couple years, anywhere, so I was just at the right place at the right time. It was $40 a pound too.

I'm not exactly an expert on this site. Where is the 'where to find thread'?

It pops up from time-to-time. I bought an 8 lb jug at Powder Valley earlier today.

Just know, if you buy from ppl charging 200$ over the current price, you’ll only further the cycle.
Do the responsible thing and let them sit on it. |

View Quote Yea when I checked yesterday the 8lb’ers were still available, they were out of the 1 lbs bottles. Ive still got a bunch of Varget so really didn’t need any. I just missed out by a few minutes on some CCI SPP. I can’t remember the price for the 8lb jug but it wasn’t unreasonable. Their shipping and hazmat isn’t too bad either. |

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and promoted by mainstream media which holds forth the premise that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of shit by the clean end.

I was at Bass Pro and 2 other stores today. They had no Varget.

I found some today at a somewhat local shop. $49.99lb so I bought 2 lbs. I will be hitting Cabelas tomorrow to see what they have.

At $40-50 a pound I am still passing on it. While I really like it, it is not incrementally better on the targets to justify the higher price.

I got two 1 pounders in today, gave one to my son. I posted 8 pounders for sale in the team thread just a few days ago. Have to be QUICK.

It's for sale multiple times a week online, just got to be fast.

Isn’t IMR 4064 pretty much an almost identical substitute? Less temp stable, but otherwise similar.

Dear NASA,
I was big enough for your mom. Sincerely, Pluto |

Most folks really appreciate the temp stability, not having to develop a new load, and being able to use all their dope without changes. |

Ive seen it quite a bit lately. It's pushing $350 shipped for 8lbs though so I'll pass at that price.

Powder is not going to "roll back prices". Just not going to happen. Factor in Transportation, Labor, Inflation, and other overhead costs.! Reloading is a hobby! Just get on with it! Hobbies cost money! |

I would like to find some H4350....but Varget would be a second choice.

In stock at Hodgdon's online store right now !!!

Powder is almost non existent in Alaska along with primers . If you do find a pound of powder it will cost you $40 plus.
Primers the same way. Sportsman Warehouse don’t even have the bullets and powder department anymore. Makes me wonder it all started getting difficult in Jan 2021 at the beginning of the Biden Administration’s term. |

I see it regularly at local shops, both in 1lb and 8lb configurations, the price is high but it is there.
I think it was $59 per pound and $379 for the 8lb'er. |
|

Local Ace Hardware has an entire shelf of it. Probably 20-30 1 Ib. jugs of it. However it’s $50 for a pound and at that price it’s moving VERY slowly.

I went back last Sunday and they were gone, but they did have a lonely can of IMR 4895! It was glorious. Chris |

LGS has some today, six or seven pounds. Over $50 a pound.

I have given up on Varget and for the most part Hodgdon. Just bought 2 two jugs of VV140. VV powders have not inflated even close to what Hodgdon powders have and now are significantly cheaper.

I've found that it works really good in some calibers but it is so hard to find. There are options out there, some that are better than Varget in some cases. |
