Vwery nice. I love the look of this chassis after seeing in a few builds. never could get an idea of how it looked from just the pictures on Brownells. Unfortunately now that i want one they are discontinued, story of everything i like apparently.

What kind of accuracy are you getting from the Mini Howa, and how have the factory magazines been treating you?

I'm seeing 1MOA consistently out to 600 yards if the rifle likes the ammo I'm using. It's not a fan of the Berger 130gr Hybrids because mag length loads have too much jump to the lands.

The mags are fine. I had to mod the chassis a tiny bit to get the mags to sit up high enough for the bolt to feed smoothly for all 5 rounds. With the stock mag catch position I was having the last round in the mag pop high and catch the top of the chamber, requiring a second pull on the bolt to let the round sit down, then feed in correctly. Five rounds is plenty for how I'm shooting the rifle and mag swaps are easy. It helps that I have seven mags, courtesy of a determined search across the Internet.

4.6 mils elevation to 600 yards is pretty good, and the suppressor makes the rifle a pussycat to shoot. It's one of my favorite guns.

Did well with it last year. Tinkering season now, so it got its feed ramp notched, the new paint job (shout out to krylon, top notch), and some new handloads. With the feed ramp notched, I can play with seating depths a bit closer to the lands. Should be a good year.

There are a few people who make them, but mine is just an ADL stock that I re-shaped and finished. Had to cut for the bottom metal. Figured it was close enough for my purposes.

338 is not a cheap round to shoot. Had 2. Savage then Hornady. I reload so it helped with the cost. Due to back surgeries, had to sell. I miss the hornady 338. About the best bolt action I have ever owned. Never shoulder fatigue with the Hornady. The Savage was brutal on the shoulder.
