Took the pig out to true my new load at 600yd.

Then my buddy called and said let's go out to his land so I stretched it out to1196yd. Consistent hits on a 12" plate.

1196yd is the red circle above the range number. That man size piece was at 1033yd

Wow there’s some really nice rifles in here. I’ve really wanted to get into long range shooting for awhile, so I picked up this RPR to hopefully light a fire under my ass and get me started.

Did a little stick shooting at 1,000 yards with my Terminus 223 Ackley.  Fritz at Black Canyon Customs builds an awesome rifle.  Feeds like butter and slings 80gn Matchkings at 3,100 fps into 1/2 - 3/4 MOA.

It is a 223 Ackley with a long throat. Not your typical plain jane 223.  Not built to shoot anything other than 80-95 gn bullets.

My old school entry.
Will edit in some details when I get to a computer.

EDIT:  WWII '44' dated action converted to single shot with bottom of action filled with epoxy(?).
1.250" diameter untapered 30" barrel chambered in .300 Win Mag

Scope is a 3200 Redfield 16x with an 1/8 minute dot reticle.
I'd like the scope to sit lower, but the rings were handy so I put them to use.

The stiffening block on the top of the action could be removed, but it adds to the period flavor, though I suspect it does little for the accuracy of the rifle.
It was fixed with epoxy and screws when I purchased the rifle, but I removed the epoxy.
