@Hanovi

The tube on the MSR-10 Hunter is longer than a standard buffer tube by about 1/2-3/4" or so.  The diameter is the same as mil-spec tubes that I have though.  The newer Gen 3 PRS stocks say they'll work with mil-spec carbine and A5 buffer tubes with standard castle nuts and endplates.  I don't have any A5 tubes to compare but the A5 is supposed to be about 3/4" longer than standard.  So, the MSR-10 might have an A5 or similar profile tube.  I'm thinking a Gen 3 PRS would likely fit it.  What is your reason for wanting to use a rifle buffer?  Added weight?  If that's the case there are several places to get heavier carbine buffers with tungsten weights that might fit your needs instead of using a rifle buffer.
