Prime shipping too.  I wish it were a touch lower, but it works.

I picked mine up several months back. It shoots quite well but groups do open up as it heats up.  As of now I’ve only shot subs through it. Only thing I’ve done to it is put in a timney. And I did have a cds dial made to my subs. Great little rifle, quiet too.

If Rem would come out with the same rifle in 223 I think it'd be a great seller.  Not sure if I can wait for them to get around to it though.

Might pick up one of these in the meantime.........cut to 16 inches and thread for suppressor

Thanks!

Its a 1.5-4x Leupold VX Freedom Pig Plex.  I wanted something fast for the WV hills. Most shots are close up.

How does it perform?

Accuracy wise about 1 MOA for 3 shots at 100 yards.  For a lightweight easy to use hunting rig it works great.

Just in case you're interested, Savage has that in the model 16.

Thanks for the reply.

I am looking for a threaded short barreled deer rifle. I really like this Model Seven. I have been looking at 6.5 CMs but I may settle on a .308 and go with the Kuiu Rifle.

Bump for any more reports or how people are using them in the off season.

I take mine out about once a month to punch a few rounds through just to check zero.  Still shoots great for my needs.

Got a new 308 Ti suppressor in and put on most of the time.

Will be in use this coming hunting season

I really want this rifle. So, .308 or .300 blackout? I own a few .308s already (still my favorite caliber), but I thought about going with  .300 blk for something new. I reload .308 and I would need to get .300 blk reloading equipment. Thoughts?

I love mine in .308 and I'm kicking around the idea of picking one up in 300 blk. If you reload couldn't you load up some .308 subs and have the best of both worlds? I don't know as I don't reload but I've been thinking about it.

My 300 blkout model 7 is unbelievably quiet, quality good and accuracy is decent. I need better glass and mount though.

That's true. I guess I'd have more versatility with the .308. I think that settles it. Lol

Bought one of these off the used rack last spring with the sole purpose of tearing it apart for another project.   After seeing this thread, maybe I should take it out and shoot it first

Just got one of these at Academy. They price matched CTD, so it was <500 OTD. I have a DNZ one piece mount on the way and a Vortex Viper 2.5-10 to put on it that came off a 6.5g I just don't enjoy shooting as much as a bolt gun.

Handy and light little rifle, for sure! It is an alternative to my 13 pound 7wsm

I see Remington is now making a 6.5 CM version called Bottomland. Looks like it's made in 16.5" and 20" threaded barrels.
