OK, I have a Weatherby Vanguard in a MDT chassis.  I tried to straighten the trigger shoe to make it fii my hand better and I snapped the cast piece in two.  I am going to need to have it tig welded back together, and then reshape it by hand with a file.   If I am going to do this, it might be easier to just cut it back, and replace the entire shoe with a straight shoe which is maybe a 1/4” longer.  These dimensions would be ideal.  Now, where would I get material to make the shoe out of?  Any ideas?  I’d love to end up with something similar to this picture.Attachment Attached File

This.

I'm pretty sure someone makes an aftermarket trigger for Weatherby/Howa actions.

Thanks.  Bought a Rifle Basix to replace it.  Weatherby then stepped up and replaced it gratis.  New Basix is a huge improvement.  Mercedes vs. Cadillac difference.

Any of the online metal vendors will sell you a hunk/block/slab/plate of 4140 for the trigger and miscellaneous components.
