I have a heavy contour Remington 700 barrel I want to have the muzzle threaded on. I have a Surefire brake in 5/8-24 that I want to put on it. I figured 5/8-24 is 5/8-24 but apparently I’m wrong. My machinist wants to know all the exact specs for the threading. I am clueless when it comes to machine talk. Is there any specific info that is pertinent to a Surefire muzzle device?
Can anyone give me some expertise as to the dimensions? I looked online and have seen tons of different stuff. Essentially just need to get that Surefire brake on my barrel. Thanks |

Buy the brake. Send the brake w the rifle so the gunsmith can fit them together.
