I'd like to start stocking up on 338lm factory loaded ammo, do you know who is using Lapua brass ? I'd like to get a pile going for future reloading.
Thanks

I have some that’s once fired. Sold my .338 Lapua a while ago. Have some projectiles also. PM me.

Berger was bought by Namo, the parent of Lapua. Their line of factory ammo is loaded using Lapua  brass and Berger bullets, at least in the calibers I've shot, 6.5CM, 260R and 308.

I can understand that you want Lapua brass, it is excellent quality. I'm guessing that you are thinking to buy loaded ammo, shoot it, and save the brass to reload.

If you are doing it just to have good quality brass, as opposed to poor quality or mixed brass when you get around to reloading, it may work for you.

If you are thinking to have it around for precision reloading you are somewhat fooling yourself. Unless you do a lifetime buy of ammo, and even possibly then, the brass will potentially be of different lots. Since you posted this in the precision rifles forum I am guessing the latter is your intent. If so mixed lots may defeat your purpose.

Buy brass, load and reload it yourself. Learn your rifle and learn loading for your rifle at the same time.

Buy a case of Factory Lapua 338 ammo.  A sealed case out
4318017338 Lapua Magnum 250gr Scenar OTM200rds to a case
4318013338 Lapua Magnum 300gr Scenar OTM200rds to a case

That would keep you loading enough to burn out the barrel of a 338.

Most people I know do not have that many "lots" of 338 Lapua brass in their rotation.
I doubt severely that the the lot to lot water capacity of 338 Lapua brand brass is going
vary so much as to impact load work ups!

Right now Midway has Lapua brass for $76/100.   "MidwayUSA has made a special purchase on premium Lapua brass with “BBR 15” headstamp originally made for an ammo manufacturer."  Nothing wrong with buying loaded ammo made with Lapua brass, but this isn't a deal to pass up either if you're going to reload.

I have mixed lots of lapua .308 brass and still managed a half moa 5 shot group at 700 the other day.  They were 155 grain scenars pushed by 8208. Lot  numbers of brass no longer concern me.
